Summary: Now more than ever, the desire for lowering the capital gains tax is on agendas. We will advocate that any change in the Oregon tax code should continue to treat earnings from work the same as earnings from investment. If a solid idea is brought forward, we might support legislation limited to prospective investments in Oregon-based companies to encourage immediate investments. At the national level, we’ll fight to remove the Bush tax cuts for investors.
