What Your Donation Will Do
Tax Fairness Oregon works to promote a fair tax code that serves the common good. TFO is a mostly all-volunteer organization involved in educating the public on relevant issues, and advocating for or against new bills as they come before the Legislature. We lobby in Salem for the needs and services of the average citizen, unlike the many paid lobbyists who work for special interest groups. Your donations are vital in helping us carry out our important work. We use your dollars directly for the following:
- Help cover the salary of research assistant and volunteer coordinator
- Production, photocopying and mailing of educational materials (flyers, bumper stickers, events, films, etc.)
- Membership fees to lobby in Salem, attend conferences, join other organizations with a like mission, and to pay for messaging in the Voters Pamphlet
- Web hosting and programming work that we cannot do ourselves
Tax Fairness Oregon is a 401c4 (lobbying) organization and as such your donations are NOT tax-deductible. Every dollar you give, however, is wisely spent and goes a long way. No contribution is too small and every donation is greatly appreciated!
