How You Can Help
Tax Fairness Oregon needs volunteers for both short term and long term commitments, from one day for a few hours, to several hours per week.
There are many talents we can use and things we need done. These include:
Reading, Writing and Editing
- Develop Messaging
- Read and write short summaries of upcoming legislation to share with other TFO members
- Write and/or edit the TFO website content, letters-to-the editor, educational materials for the public, one-pagers for Legislators
- Online research
Admin Skills
- Phone calling
- Help organize and manage events and meetings
- Provide ideas and input at meetings
- Provide or coordinate transportation to Salem
- Write minutes of meetings
- Gather signatures on petitions
- Help fund-raise to cover operating expenses
- Attend meetings with our Coalition partners and report back to the group
- Write email blasts and post actions and events on Facebook
Technical Skills
- Web programming and editing
- Web research
- Post email blasts and manage Facebook postings and events
- Post online petitions and export signatures and membership names and donations to Excel spreadsheets
- Manage web cross-linking with coalition partners
Public Speaking Skills
- Public speaking to testify in Town Halls and in Salem or your own community
- Meet face to face with House and Senate Reps in Salem
