Thanks for signing up for Tax Fairness Oregon’s e-mail updates and legislative alerts. All too often, lobbyists for powerful corporate interests get to shape our tax code to their advantage at the expense of the public good. It does not have to be that way–if we band together and advocate for better, fairer tax policies.
Our goal is to promote an Oregon tax code that is fair, progressive, serves the common good, and is fully enforced. We engage in legislative action, coalition building, grassroots organizing, and educational programs. A mostly volunteer group, we are affiliated with the Tax Fairness Organizing Collaborative (TFOC), a national network that uses grassroots power to promote progressive tax reform.
Joining with us by responding to our email messages can be just the first step.
We work on a wide range of topics and are in need of a variety of skills, including researching proposed legislation, writing testimony, and testifying before legislative committees. If you’re interested in participating in these and related activities, please e-mail us with your contact information indicating your interests. We look forward to talking with you about how we can work together.
